Over the past 30 years I have visited the American continent on quite a few times. Each trip was for a different experience, such as:

- Canada - coast to coast - Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec, Vancouver
- Visiting some of the Great National Parks of the United States of America - Yellowstone NP, Grand Canyon NP, Grand Teton NP, Bryce Canyon NP - see the image above.
- Cost Rica - Central America - Jungle, Volcanoes, amazing animals and birds, unspoilt landscapes.
- Chile - top to bottom - San Pedro de Atacama and the Atacama Desert, Santiago, Torres del Paine National Park
- West Coast USA - including a visit to Barringer Crater, Biosphere 2, NASA/Jet Propulsion Laboratory, then Hawaii - Honolulu, Pearl Harbour, Mount Kilauea and Observatories atop, seeing the 2012 Transit of Venus from the slope of the volcano
- Western Observatories - Mount Lowell, Mount Wilson, Mount Palomar, Kitt Peak National Observatory
- Oregon coast - Portland, Oregon coast, Crater Lake and 2017 Total Solar Eclipse from Salem, Oregon
