1993 - New Zealand - from top to bottom
Another 'seat of the pants' trip - by far most distant place I've been to but definitely worth it
So, the trip included: North island
1) From Aukland,[ see top picture ] by bus to
2) Rotarua [ middle picture ] - thermal hot springs and wonderful food
3) Wellington - wonderful buildings, parks, scenery
then a quick hop over the Cook Straights, by Ferry, to
4) Picton and on to explore the South Island......
5) Charleston
6) Greymouth - in the Fjordlands - glaciers etc.
7) Mount Cook [ bottom picture ]
8) Fox Glacier
9) Milford Sound
and then for some adrenaline in
10) Queenstown and finally some peace and quiet in...
11) Dunedin.....before finally arriving in
12) Christchurch
The only downside was severe jet-lag as we flew from Christchurch via Aukland to Los Angeles and onto London - I didn't see my luggage for 32 hours!
