2006 - my third eclipse trip. Having 'missed out' in 2002 I was determined to go to the place where there was a high chance of having clear skies - Libya
The journey consisted of:
1) Fly from Manchester to Tripolis
2) Pick up minibus and travel to Sebah via Waw-Al-Namus
3) Transfer to 4WD for the trip across the desert to the Eclipse observation Site
4) View the eclipse then travel through the Acacus region, canyons and dunes, and back to Sebah to rendevous with the mini-bus
5) Travel onto Sabratha and Leptis Magna to view the Roman ruins
6) Back to Tripolis to take in a bit of the Libyan culture then
7) Fly back to the UK
